Well, those things usually give a higher temperature given they have been exposed to the sun for several hours, but it's not very far from truth! It hasn't rained in a week here, but the humidity levels are very high. Parts of the state had official readings of 42ºC in the past days.
I don't know! My german great-grandmother was born in what is nowadays Croatia, when it still belonged to the Austro-Hungary empire, so God knows what sort of genetically modified caucasian am I!
Well, here's what I usually looked like until summer kicked in and having a beard and long hair made my body temperature rise to 1000000 degrees celsius.
Yes, the team that gave the LFS world Simon Cattell, David Jundt and SC Steve Martin, among others, created by Lee Davidson, which I was a part of until it disbanded in 2010(?).
Except the sort of ladies that go for a wee dive in the middle of the night with the termometers marking -30ºC, like the one the article I posted a link to commented on.
Anyway, my rant was never about how bad cold waves are or aren't. What I meant is that, in spite of all the problems that extreme cold and heat cause, I always see my european friends complaining about the temperature when it settles on a comfy mid-spring temperature.
We're talking about a season of the year, not about being raped on my way home by some lunatic. If there's one thing the weather is pretty good at is punctuality - winters tend to happen at the same time pretty much every year and you can usually see it coming.
Given that most people who have died are old persons, I really cannot understand how someone who's probably gone through 50+ winters in their lifetime can feel the weather getting colder and colder and not think 'Blimey, time to put on a jumper and take the tea tray inside.'
Heat wave = thousand of dead people;
Cold wave = thousands of dead people;
Normal weather = everyone complains it's too cold/hot.

"Rescuers in Germany were unable to save an elderly woman after she had gone swimming in the frozen waters of a gravel pit in Lower Saxony."
Well, two wins in 4 seasons (of the total 6 races won by non Ganassi/Penske/Andretti drivers in the period - first driver to win races for two non-top3 teams since Tomas Scheckter in 02/05 and Scott Sharp in 03/05), a top ten in Indy and a top five last year (same as Danica, Meira, Simona and Conway), ahead of Bourdais in Edmonton, say otherwise.
I got bored in preparation for the MoE Aston 24h and started a little project, in case Team Laptop Shop owner Steve Martin couldn't supply us with a skin for the race. He did, but we didn't get in by a tiny margin.
So here's the skin file, de-sticked and with our names removed, maybe someone would like to use it. It's already in LFSW as FZR_TurquoiseArrow.jpg
